My wife's favorite of a 9 night/7 hotel trip. Great simple chateau located about 5km from Montrichard; middle of woods/field. Pool is nice, grounds are beautiful, building is nice to look at, room was comfortable. Rate was pretty good, breakfast was good. As other reviews state, there's no restaurant, so be ready to drive for dinner. My wife enjoyed a bottle of our own wine at the tables in the courtyard, nobody gave her any grief, in fact, they asked if she wanted anything from the bar, they'd open it up for her. If you like quiet, calm, this is the place.
Me, I like to have a bottle of wine with dinner and walk back to the hotel, so that was kind of a bummer, having to drive. But Montrichard is 5 minutes and Amboise is 15, so not the end of the world.

Beautiful setting. Peaceful but convenient with car to Loire chateaux. Nice big room although bathroom design could be improved. Bath very awkward for older people. Excellent breakfast and nice facilities.

A lovely chateau situated in lovely parkland in the countryside. The building was very well presented internally with comfortable furnishings and pleasant decor. The lady prorietor was helpful and caring of her guests and took much responsibility in ensuring their needs were met. Altogether, we had a very happy stay at this hotel.
The weather turned cold in the evenings and although there was radiators in bedroom and bathroom it was not on and there was no backup system. This meant the rooms became rather cold.

Location is nice, and the outside of the hotel is like a small chateau.
This is not a nice hotel. This hotel is trouble. We had booked for 2 nights a comfort room, wanted to cancel the second night as soon as we saw our old and small room, but they refused despite the cancellation conditions. We left after one night and later found out they had charged our credit card for 2 nights. Breakfast is also very poor.

We very much liked the spaciousness of the surrounding grounds and our double room was much better than we thought it would be. The furnishings etc were very tasteful whether they be antiques or modern they did "mesh" together throughout our room and inside the chateau and provided a very good ambience and specialness of staying in a chateau

Nice property, good breakfast
This hotel is situated where you can enjoy beautiful views of nature around you. I found the breakfast delicious and it was served early enough for me to make it to my meetings on time. Additionally, the hotel is located just a short drive from the main city which was convenient.
The quality of the room. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the Wi-Fi was weak and unreliable. Additionally, there was no one available at the front desk when I needed assistance. I definitely would not choose this hotel again for my business travel.

The Château de la Menaudière is a beautiful place--serene, quiet, with lovely grounds, a tennis court and small swimming pool. The Château itself is very comfortable and the main rooms -- dining room and reception, are also beautifully decorated. Our bedroom had a wonderful view and though somewhat small, was also beautifully decorated. The bathroom was perfect and the bed was comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to return visits.
We knew the hotel did not have a restaurant. It does have a bar where you can get coffee, but in general our only wish is that we would have liked to have had more choices at the bar -- a cappucino or cafe creme, (the coffee came with a pitcher of cold milk), or an ice (cream) coffee, and some small things to eat-- a croque monsieur, sandwich or salad. The breakfast is typical continental--croissants, small cakes, bread, cheese, yoghurt, fruit-- which was fine but would have been better with some variety, for instance plain muesli instead of chocolate, some boiled eggs... The swimming pool is small and only has six lounge chairs--not enough when the hotel is full and the weather is hot. But we thoroughly enjoyed swimming there and really have no complaints.
